New Connections & Service Changes
Q1: How to get a new domestic service connection?
To obtain a new domestic electricity service connection, the consumer must first get the internal wiring of the premises done by a certified license holder (Licensed Electrical Contractor). Then, submit the LT (Low Tension) application form along with proof of ownership of the premises to the area Assistant Engineer / Operation & Maintenance (AE/O&M). The required documents include ownership proof (patta, sale deed, or tax receipt), identity proof, and the wiring completion report from the licensed contractor.
Q2: How to convert a single-phase connection to three-phase?
To convert a single-phase connection to a three-phase connection, the consumer must ensure that the group load is equally distributed across all 3 phases, with the total connected load being 4 KW or above. Contact the area AE/O&M office with a requisition letter for the conversion. The internal wiring must be modified by a certified license holder to accommodate three-phase supply.
Q9: How to change the tariff category?
To change the tariff category of your service connection (for example, from domestic to commercial), contact the area AE/O&M with a requisition letter along with documentary proof supporting the change in usage of the premises. The tariff will be revised upon verification of the change in usage.

For temporary electricity supply (for functions, construction, exhibitions, etc.), apply to the Assistant Executive Engineer / O&M (AEE/O&M) with the required charges and security deposit. Temporary supply is provided for a specified period and the charges are calculated based on the connected load and duration.
