Overview
TANGEDCO operates coal-based thermal power stations with a combined installed capacity of approximately 4,060 MW. These stations are located across Tamil Nadu and form the primary baseload generation capacity for the state's electricity grid.
North Chennai Thermal Power Station (NCTPS)
Located at Athipattu in Thiruvallur district, North Chennai TPS is the largest thermal power station operated by TANGEDCO.

Ennore Thermal Power Station (ETPS)
